My Story
Jasmine Brown is an award-winning author, nonprofit founder, and financial literacy advocate dedicated to helping young people build confident, healthy relationships with money from an early age. A proud graduate of NC State University and a native of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Jasmine blends education, athletics, and storytelling to make financial literacy accessible, engaging, and culturally relevant.
She is the author of The Money Club and the Money Lessons with Dad series, books designed to introduce children and teens to foundational money concepts through real-life conversations and relatable experiences. Her work empowers families to start meaningful discussions about money at home—long before adulthood.
A lifelong athlete with a background in swimming and dance, and professional experience working closely with football programs and student athletes, Jasmine continues to coach and mentor youth. It was through this work that she saw firsthand how unprepared many young people are to manage money, particularly during major life transitions. That realization led her to found FACTS for Youth, a nonprofit organization providing hands-on financial literacy workshops for teens and young adults, with a focus on underserved communities.
Jasmine’s work extends beyond books and workshops. She is a sought-after speaker, panelist, and community leader, regularly collaborating with schools, athletic programs, nonprofits, and brands to expand access to financial education. Her mission is simple but powerful: to equip the next generation with the tools, confidence, and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions and build lasting independence.
